There’s a new kid in town! And that “kid” is one of the newest in builds in one of my favorite hotel chains: Margaritaville. This Jimmy Buffett inspired resort hotel is in Kissimmee, Florida, near Orlando. It’s centrally located between Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando, and is a “Disney Good Neighbor” property, which means that you can book it in a package for your next Disney trip!

It’s also in a great location if you’re planning on visiting several “Orlando vacation” attractions, including Disney, Universal, Sea World, Legoland, Discovery Cove, and more! Of course, if you are coming to visit only Universal or Disney, we always recommend staying at an onsite hotel for the best perks during your stay.

As soon as you walk through the front lobby doors, you are immediately thrown into a vacation atmosphere. The beachy decor, signature Margaritaville flip flop, and the brand-specific infused “vacation” scent are all there to greet you and immerse you in your vacation.

Check-in is super simple and quick, so you can get right to your room. The resort is relatively small with only 186 rooms in total, and each one faces the beautiful pool below with a private balcony. They make you feel like you are in your own little paradise away from home with colors reminiscent of those you would find in Key West, Florida.

I recommend staying in the main tower of Margaritaville because of its convenient access to the pool area, hot tubs, restaurants, convenience shop and cafe, and transportation to the area theme parks.

If you need more room than the typical 2 queen bed or 1 king bedroom, check out the Margaritaville Villas! Each one has a full kitchen, living area, and between 2 and 8 bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, which is perfect for a family! The kitchen is equipped with its own Margaritaville margarita machine, and some units even have a private pool.

All the rooms and villas are decorated with so much vacation vibe, you will find that this is a relaxing home-away-from-home for your family or traveling party. The larger units have extra hang-out space on the top floor and some even have roof-top seating for fireworks or sunset gazing.

The resort is in walking distance to a pedestrian-friendly shopping area with some amazing restaurants, including Ford’s Garage and Capone’s Coal Fired Pizza. We had a great time shopping, dining, and enjoying the area!

Whether you stay in the tower, hotel side of Margaritaville or the villa side, you will leave this resort with only one regret – that you have to leave so soon! Remember, at Margaritaville, it is always “5 O’Clock Somewhere” and “Life is Better in Flip Flops.” That is the truth!, right there.
